Tight Shiny Pants by magenta.......

a basic knowledge of psp is needed to follow this tut. Best done with Psp 7.04

------------------------------------------------

Open your doll base in paint shop pro

open your paint brush tool and set your settings like this:

next select a starting color I suggest the darkest shade of the color you would like to use and draw an outline

next we will create another layer and name it pants2 or whatever you like

using your magic wand click on the inside of the pants, set the tolerance in your tool palette to about 35,( you can turn visibility off on the doll layer or background layer in order to easier select the inside of the outlined pants.... and turn turn visibility back on. )

now grab the flood fill tool and flood fill using a lighter color,

I used #524848. To select your color click on the forground button and select your color or type in the html color code as show below

Now we will give it some night highlights and make them look tight and shiny..

With your inner pants still selected using your retouch tool we are going to add some highlights and darken lights

at this point you can use the soften setting on the retouch tool to soften it... added more darker and lighter highlights if you like. You can play around with the lighten, darken, soften, smudge.. untill you get what you like...

Now we will add a little blur.... go to Effects>Blur>Gaussian Blur and enter .75 and apply by clicking okay or hit your enter key on your keyboard.

ctrl-d or deselect

now we will go to the layers tool and merge visible

note: if you can't find your layer palette tool click on view and tools.... and select layer palette and then you will be able to merge layers... you can also go to Layers>Merge>Visible

Remember to save your work often! File>Save as   or   Ctrl-s

Your pants are done.... =) Feel free to do the same for  a shirt.... more tuts to come

If you want your doll transparent click on the white (or background color) of your graphic with the magic wand tool, go to selections and invert, selections promote to layer, then delete your original layer and export as gif. There is another way to make it transparent if you don't have any of the same color in your doll as the background such as white on my doll above.. make sure you only have one layer and go to file>export>as gif and make trasparent (the color of your background such as white in my doll above)...

Also remember you can use these tricks for clothing as well.... trace the outlines in a darker color, insides in a lighter color or texture and use the retouch tool for highlights and darkens... you can enhance your body's curves this way

I will write a more in depth tutorial for this soon. if you need help don't hesitate to ask laura@dollicious.com
